Cairns has a typical tropical climate, with really only two distinct seasons.
'Winter' begins in May and runs through to November. It is the dry season – a time usually of idyllic weather, with sunshine, low humidity, little rain and fresh breezes. 'Summer' extends from December to April.
The Cairns Convention Centre is just minutes walking distance from a wide range of three, four and five star hotels, excellent seven day shopping, numerous restaurants, arts & crafts markets, galleries and a variety of nightly entertainment.
